Prayer & Reflection
Gospel · Luke 24:13-35Third Sunday of Easter
We walk with two of Jesus' Disciples on the road to Emmaus. Though the Risen Lord is beside them, they do not recognise him at first. It is only in the breaking of the bread that their eyes are opened, and they come to know him—just as he vanishes from their sight.

Parish notice Celebration of Pentecost in our Parish
Sunday 24th May – Celebration of Pentecost in our Parish Pentecost celebrates the gift of the Holy Spirit, who unites people of every nation and language in one faith. We are truly blessed in our parish to reflect this unity, as we worship and praise God together in many different mother tongues. To mark this joyful feast, we invite members of our various language groups to share their musical gifts during the Holy Mass on Pentecost Sunday. You are warmly encouraged to sing a hymn or lead a Eucharistic response in your own language, expressing the beauty and universality of the Church. If you or your group would like to take part, please contact our Music Director, Barbara Jordan, to let her know what you would like to prepare. There will be a meeting with Barbara on Saturday May 9th at 11 o' clock in the Church to discuss. Thank You Barbara! Let us come together in faith and song, celebrating the Spirit who makes us one.
Parish notice The Healing Garden at Northampton Cathedral
The Healing Garden at Northampton Cathedral is a place of peace. It is open to all who wish to find a quiet space to pray, reflect or just to be and who do not feel able to enter the walls of a Church at this time. Recently, a statue of St Francis of Assisi was placed in the garden and was blessed by Bishop David. The statue was donated by the St Francis Children's Society and they are grateful that the good works the society enabled can be remembered and built upon through the presence of St Francis in the garden. Café 50 has tables overlooking the garden too.
Parish notice Chaplaincy for RC Patients at Northampton General Hospital
There is a Chapel (St Luke's) at the hospital for private prayer. The Cathedral Chaplaincy team visits the hospital twice a week on Tuesday and Friday mornings to offer support and pastoral care to patients. If you require a RC priest for a family member or friend please contact the Cathedral office, speak with the nurse in charge of the ward or arrange a referral through the Chaplaincy team at the hospital. In an emergency, a Roman Catholic priest can be contacted on your behalf 24 hours a day via the hospital switchboard.
Parish notice Offertory
Thank you for your continued generosity and support of St Patrick's. If you're able to give, your gift — no matter the size — helps to sustain our ministry and community with ever rising costs. If you are a UK taxpayer, please consider adding Gift Aid, which allows us to receive an extra 25% at no additional cost to you. Your kindness truly makes a difference.
