The sacraments are the life of the Church — signs of God’s grace entrusted to us by Christ. At St Patrick’s we accompany families and individuals as they prepare for and receive them.

Preparing for the sacraments
First Holy Communion
First Holy Communion is the sacrament in which a child first receives the Body and Blood of Christ. In preparation, children learn the meaning of the Mass, the Real Presence, and the importance of the Eucharist as the source and summit of Christian life.

Confirmation
Confirmation completes the sacraments of initiation begun at Baptism. In Confirmation, the young person — or adult — is sealed with the Holy Spirit and strengthened for a mature Christian life of witness and service.
